Hospital - Plastic Surgeon

Went under the dreaded knife on Friday to have a skin cancer removed from my nose.  I have two black eyes, swollen cheek, disfigured nose and lots of stitches.  Apart from looking a little or really a lot scary I am feeling great. Looking forward to catching up on some domestics while I am in hiding at home :). Life is good and I can see a bright light shining at the end of the tunnel.  Looking forward to the next exciting 12 months.  Apparently it is going to take 12 months for my face to settle back down to some normality so my goals will be focused and planned over 12 months so I hopefully look and feel outstanding when all of this settles down. :)
Be good and will be back in a week or so.

COMMITTMENT - STICKING TO YOUR PLAN

Today is the second day of my new nutritional plan.  Living a healthy lifestyle can sometimes have some challenges placed in front of you. When I am not on a structured plan I live the 80/20 rule - it works well and every few days I get to have my free meals including chocolate.  I am an ordinary person just like you and today for some reason I had lots of challenges that were put in front of me.
Jumped into my car this morning and there was a packet of smarties left by the kids staring up at me.  I hesitated and thought that would be nice but I am committed to my new plan and therefore picked them up and threw them out - out of sight  out of mind.  One down.  One of my favourite free foods is date scones.  When I went to the grocery shop they had bags of them sitting on the counter at Bakers Delight - I kept walking, I usually buy some buns from there but so I wouldn't tempt myself I kept walking. Two down.  I had been working all day and feeling quite hungry when I went grocery shopping (I normally have some lean protien and veges before I go so I am not tempted to buy something off plan).  Well today everything that was not good for me popped its head out in front of me but I am happy to say I did not give in and only purchased what was on my list. Three down. I arrived home late today at the same time as my hubby and he asked me if I would like a glass of red, I can assure you I would have loved a glass of red today but I declined and had a green tea instead Four down After dinner and working on my husbands books for his business I boiled the jug for another cuppa and my hubby decided he would have some chocolate, he tried to hide it but it was ok because my small little steps today meant I was not going to give in tonight. Five down. Another of my favourites is icecream, Yes you guessed it he had a nice  choc coated icecream and my tummy grumbled the whole time he was eating it but you guessed it I did not give in. Five down.   If I had given in to these little temptations it could have easily added another 1,000 calories to my daily intake.  By not giving in it continually built up my self-esteem throughout the day and made it easier as I got closer to the end of the day.  All you need to do is BEGIN, BELIEVE, BECOME.

Never say Never!

Enjoy life! Have a slice of birthday cake and treat yourself to a burger every now and then. When you deny yourself all of

life’s indulgences you will set yourself up for weight loss failure. But be smart: have a small piece of the cake and forego

fries with that burger! 3. Be Informed!

Make a habit of reading nutrition labels while grocery shopping. Many foods seem similar to one another, but a quic

I need to keep my body guessing

Keep Your Body Guessing!

Ever find yourself in the same old rut when it comes to your workouts? Doing the same workout over and over is not only boring—it also slows down your results by not giving your muscles a chance to recover. Alternate your exercise routine, for example take a Pilates class on Monday and then lift weights on Wednesday.

I have just arrived back from 3 days in  beautiful Queensland and now back to the cold weather. Attended an outstanding conference with some outstanding business people, they are all beautiful people and it is so good catching up as they are all like family.  I have some wonderful new business ideas to implement.  Can't wait to get back to the office and I can't wait to hit the gym.

Have an outstanding weekend and I look forward to catching up again next week.

THREE DAYS OF BIRTHDAY FUN

Well another birthday has come and gone.  Celebrated with Caramel cream pie and plain cheese cake at work. Out to lunch to a Nursery on the edge of town with a very special friend then out to dinner Friday night with more friends.  I had lots of phone calls and visits all day and lots and lots of best wishes on facebook - wow I just felt so special.

Saturday it was work in the morning and then packed and off to Mudgee for the night staying at the Parklands Resort for our regional Xmas Party in July.  It was awesome, good people, good food and really good wine :)

Sunday it was down to breakfast at the motel (raining and cold) and then to the Bakery in town for a nice cup of coffee and green tea with my hubby.  We headed home and I did some cooking and grocery shopping and caught up on some domestics before my husbands 9 family members come back.

Had my last feast of chocolates and naughty food and now it is back to following my healthy nutritional plan and fitness regime. I have done no exercise at all over the three days of celebrating my birthday so I am looking forward to the gym tomorrow.

I have a busy two days ahead of me and then off to a 3 day conference.  I will be logging in here with an update at least once a week.

Busy day again today - Sales meeting with our Regional Manager on databases, a telephone conference/training session with PM this afternoon on a new system, everything on my To-do-List for today has been ticked off.  A quick visit to my dad at lunchtime, missed mum again as she was playing bowls. My granddaugter Paige is with us this evening visiting from Sydney. Just about to do the books for my hubby's business and then some domestics.
My back/leg is feeling much better today so back into the gym tomorrow one would think - can't wait.

Busy Day

Very busy day at work, PM meetings in the morning, REI meetings at Council this afternoon and catching up with my clients and that wonderful paperwork.  Some of my beautiful vendors are leaving town tomorrow and there has been lots of tears saying goodbye to their beautiful house that they thought they were going to live in forever and of course one of their beautiful daughters  but I am sure they will love living at Port Macquarie and I am sure they will enjoy their new journey, drinking coffee and watching the waves of the beach rolling in.  I had another client who received some very good news healthwise also today and I am just so happy for her - she is just a beautiful lady. I just  love how everyday at work is so different.  I just love my clients and really care about them, I have made so many wonderful friends over many years selling Real Estate and lots of beautiful people through living a healthy lifestyle, all so dedicated and committed to their individual goals, all so inspiring.
I have had a  bad back with pain running down through the back of my knee, through my calf muscle and into my foot so no early morning walk for me today and no gym.
Healthy eating  is on track - five meals, 3 x P+C, and 2 x P+F and of course lots of green veges. Can't wait for Friday as it is my birthday and I have already decided what sort of cake I will be having to celebrate :)
Ok remember life is all about balance.
